Unlicensed scrap dealer given 1k fine
AN unlicensed scrap dealer has been fined more than £1,000 at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
Violet Smith, 48, of Little Dunmow, admitted failing to provide paperwork for collection and disposal of business waste, operating without a licence and carrying controlled waste without permission from the Environment Agency.
She was fined, ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge which in total came to £1027.
