A cyclist injured in a crash wants to find a woman who came to his aid.
Andrew Metcalfe, 46, was riding to work in Kelvedon when the crash happened in the High Street.
Mr Metcalfe rolled over a silver Vauxhall Vectra and landed on the road.
He was pulling over into New Road, from the direction of Colchester, when he hit the car.
Mr Metcalfe escaped with bruising and neck pain and believes his helmet saved him from more serious
injuries.
Mr Metcalfe wants to find the woman who came to help him up after the crash, on Tuesday, April 14, at 8.30am.
Mr Metcalfe, who has ridden the 16-mile round-trip from Marks Tey daily for two years, said: "I was in a
lot of shock and just wanted to get up off the road after it happened.
"There was a very nice lady that saw the incident.
"She came and spoke to me for a while saying: ‘Do you need my details’ and asking if I needed
police or ambulance, but I said no.
"I can’t even remember looking at her face.
"I’m grateful for her stopping and helping me."
