Village hall wins £9,000 for outdoors gym
A village hall has been awarded £9,350 in the latest round of funding from Braintree Council’s Mi Community programme.
Rayne Village Hall is one of several initiatives to win a share of more than £160,000 and will use the cash to build an outdoor gym.
Other beneficiaries in the Braintree area include Braintree Canoe Club, which won £10,000 for new canoe containers, and the Braintree area foodbank, which was given £7,500.
In total, almost £36,500 was given to projects in Braintree, including £4,076 to Braintree and Gosfield scout groups.
