A primary school pupil has raised an incredible £800 towards wigs for children.
Eight-year-old Kathleen Fisher was inspired to raise cash and cut off her own hair after her mum Tracy was diagnosed with breast cancer last October.
The John Bunyan Junior School pupil will be donating her hair and the money to the Little Princess Trust.
Kathleen said: “I was a bit panicky just before having my hair cut, but it was quite exciting at the same time.
Mrs Fisher, 37, said: “I’m very proud of what she’s done.
“She researched it all herself with the help of my mum.
“She has also raised enough for a wig to be made out of her own hair and enough for another wig to be made.”
