A teenager has denied being involvied in an acid attack on a man at a block of flats in Witham.
The 15-year-old is accused of using a corrosive liquid with intent to cause injury and another charge of grevious bodily harm with intent.
Chelmsford Crown Court heard today that the alleged incident took place on August 8 last year at a block of flats in Bramble Road.
Dad-of-two Wayne Ingold, 56, received serious burns to his hands, face and arms after he went to get his post from the communal entrance of the flats.
The teenager from Mitcham, south London, cannot be named for legal reasons.
His trial will take place in April and he was remanded in custody until then.
