A father who had acid thrown in his face in a random attack has been left disheartened as police continue to hunt for the culprits.
A 19-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the incident on August 8 in Bramble Road, Witham, was released without charge.
Wayne Ingold, 56, suffered life-changing injuries to his face, neck, arms and hands after he was sprayed with acid as he collected his post from the communal entrance.
He said: “I do feel awful that these people are still out there.
“Why should I walk round looking like I do when they are out there having the time of their lives?
“Why should I be in pain when they haven’t been brought to justice?
“I want these people caught."
