Two soldiers helped Prince Harry make the inaugural Invictus Games an event to remember.
Corporal Kieran Hunt of Witham and Private Adam Ford, a former pupil at Honywood Community Science School in Coggeshall, were among more than 300 members of the Armed Services on duty at the international multi-sport event for Wounded, Injured and Sick Service personnel and veterans.
Cpl Hunt, a former pupil at New Rickstones Academy, supported the USA team.
He has been in the Army for nine years and deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq.
Cpl Hunt, 26, said: “It's great to work with the Americans.
Pte Ford, 26, of Marks Tey has been in the Army for three years and deployed to Afghanistan in 2012.
