A convenience store has opened its doors in a former pub that has been empty since October 2011.
The Morrisons M local officially cut the ribbon at 9am yesterday with the help of children from Holy Family primary, Chapel Hill primary and Howbridge junior schools.
The new store has created 19 jobs at the former Jack and Jenny pub on Hatfield Road, Witham
Assistant manager Lauren King, 24, said: "The day went much better than we expected.
"We were busy from start to finish and we hope it's a sign of things to come."
