A man in his 40s suffered serious injuries after he was crushed by a falling window in High Garrett today.
The ambulance service received a 999 call at 3.32pm to an address off Halstead Road.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “A window fell from approximately one metre and crushed a man.
"We sent a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and Essex Air Ambulance to the scene.
"The man had sustained potentially serious injuries to his chest and was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital for emergency treatment.”
