Freemasons from the Braintree area have donated £3,000 towards a medical research charity.
The Royal College of Surgeons was the subject of the Freemasons Grand Charity’s 2013 appeal, which raised £2.3million across England and Wales.
The contribution from the Braintree branch, which meets at Howard Hall, in Bocking End, was part of an Essex total of £157,600 - more than three times the original target.
