A festival held in the memory of a Braintree man is being held for the third time to raise money for Meningitis UK.

The Big Bear Fest, which will be held on Saturday 31 at the Braintree Discovery Centre , will commemorate the life of fun-loving Sam Bearman, who died two years ago after contracting meningitis.

Local talent will be playing at the festival and there will also be lots to do for families, with entertainment provided for young children such as bouncy castles and face painting, henna tattoos.

Gates for the festival open at 10:30am and camping is available for those who want to stay overnight.

Tickets cost £25, with under 16s going free, and are available from bigbearfest.orgGates for the festival open at 10:30am and camping is available for those who want to stay overnight.
