Market traders have shot down suggestions of moving their stalls out of a car park and into the high street.

Stallholders in Witham want £10,000 of Government cash to be spent on improving their pitches and advertising their current location in Lockram Lane.

They say plans to relocate them in Newland Street would be a health and safety nightmare for traders and customers due to the volume of traffic.
