(Sheepcotes Lane, Silver End) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

(Sheepcotes Lane, Silver End) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sheepcotes Lane, Silver End in the
District of Braintree, from a point approximately 220m northeast of its junction with Boars
Tye Road for a distance of approximately 18m in a northeasterly direction. The closure is
scheduled to commence on 26th March 2018 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit
(AZ0081000670614 – Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with
appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for
the safety of the public and workforce while gas service works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
An alternative route is available via Sheepcotes Lane, Boars Tye Road, Links Road, Hollies
Road, Fiveash Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 15th March 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or
until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Station Road, Alresford)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under
section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Alresford in the District
of Tendring, from its junction with Cox Road to its junction with Alresford Station, a distance of
approximately 64m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th April 2018 for 2 days, or
where stated on a valid permit (AZ0081000693621 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary
for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service works are
undertaken by Cadent Gas.
An alternative route is available via Wivenhoe Road, St Osyth Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 29th March 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months
or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Buck Hill, Black Notley)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from
the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Buck Hill, Black Notley in the District
of Braintree, from its junction with Notley Road to its junction with Church Road, a distance
of approximately 338m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th April 2018 for 3 days,
or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2244810 – Essex County Council). The scheduled
dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on
www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce
while installing new posts and signage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Notley Road, Church Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 29th March 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months
or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.2) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from
the date of this notice to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the District of Braintree as specified
in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway
on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works.
Signs will be installed indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking
Area) (Consolidation) Order 2008” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary
‘No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions
on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the
aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 29th March 2018
exact dates will be specified on http://roadworks.org/. The roads will be closed to facilitate
each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates
of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
