Notice of Making of an Order Highways Act 1980 – Section 26 Creation of a Footpath at Great Yeldham in the District of Braintree Public Path Creation Order 2018
The above Order made on 9th February, 2018 under section 26 of
the Highways Act 1980 will create a footpath in the Parish of Great
Yeldham in the District of Braintree as shown on the Order Map
contained in the Order.
The effect of the Order will be to create a length of footpath being
2 metres in width situated at the disused railway line, commencing
from where it connects to Toppesfield Road and running in a generally
north north westerly direction on the eastern side of the recreation
ground for a distance of approximately 377 metres to where the
footpath connects to the existing Footpath 10 Great Yeldham.
A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed in and may
be seen free of charge at the Braintree Council Offices, and at the
Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, Chelmsford during normal
working hours. Copies of the Order and Order Map are available on
request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge.
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent or
delivered in writing addressed to Laurence Page, Definitive Map
Officer, Definitive Map Service, Essex County Council, County Hall,
A2 Seax House, Market Road, Chelmsford CM1 1QH by no later than
22nd March, 2018 and should state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so
made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may itself confirm the
Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of
State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and
objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with
the Order. Any such representation or objections will be taken into
account by the Council with the result that they may be made
available to the public under the Local Government (Access to
Information) Act 1985.

(Footpath 14, Halstead)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 14,
Halstead in the District of Braintree from a point approximately 40
metres south west of Box Mill Lane, south west for a distance of
approximately 20 metres over the footbridge.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th March 2018 for
3 weeks or where appropriate signs are showing and weather
permitting, and is required for the safety of the public and workforce
while the replacement of defective footbridge is undertaken.
NO alternative route.
The Order will come into effect on 5th March 2018 and may continue
in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.

(Broom Hill, Halstead)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Broom Hill,
Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Colchester
Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a northerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th March 2018 for
1 night (works to take place between 20:00 and 06:00), or where
stated on a valid permit (BC005CC11W00000IBT415TP1 – BT).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs
showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is
required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works
are undertaken by BT.
An alternative route is available via Broom Hill, Chipping Hill,
Head Street, Colchester Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 2nd March 2018 and may continue
in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
