(Various Roads, Wickham Bishops) (30MPH Speed Limit) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 84(1) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To extend the existing 30MPH speed limit on the following length of Church Road, Wickham Bishops and introduce a 30MPH speed limit on the following length of Mope Lane and Station Road, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon: Road Description



Church Road From a point approximately 10 metres west of its

junction with Church Close (the terminal point of the existing 30mph restriction), in a westerly direction to its junction with Mope Lane, a distance of approximately 198 metres.

Mope Lane From its junction with Station Road, in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 10 metres.

Station Road From its junction with Church Road, in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 7 metres.

'The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Wickham Bishops)

(Restricted Road) Order 2008' is hereby revoked, the restrictions will

however continue in force by virtue of this order.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on

12 February 2018.

Further details: A copy of the Order and plans may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1LX. Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose. Notice of Making of an Order Highways Act 1980 - Section 119 Footpaths 22 Southminster and 8 Dengie District of Maldon Public Path Diversion Orders

The above Orders made on 15th December, 2017 will divert a part length of public Footpath 22 Southminster and 8 Dengie in the District of Maldon, starting from a point north of the unclassified road and running in a generally north easterly direction to where the path crosses the parish boundary and becomes Footpath 8 Dengie. It continues in a north westerly direction to the south side of the Asheldham Brook and to the existing footbridge. This is to be diverted to an alternative route commencing at the same above point and running in a northerly direction for a distance of 70 metres, then in a generally northerly direction along an existing track along the field edge for a distance of 1445 metres to the above point where it reconnects to the unaffected length of Footpath 8 Dengie at the Footbridge.

A further section of Footpath 8 Dengie commencing from north of the footbridge over the Asheldham Brook and running in a north westerly direction across field and over two drainage channels will be diverted to an alternative route commencing at the same above point and running in a westerly direction alongside the Asheldham Brook for a distance of 150 metres and then in a generally north westerly direction along the existing track for a distance of 840 metres, then in a westerly direction for a distance of 150 metres and finally in a northerly direction along the existing track for approximately 300 metres to the same above point where it continues unaffected to its termination at Landwick Cottages in Dengie. A copy of the Orders and Order Maps have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Maldon District Council Offices, Princes Road, CM9 5DL and at the Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, Chelmsford during normal working hours. Copies of the Order and Order map are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge.

Any representation about or objection to an Order may be sent or delivered in writing to Laurence Page and addressed to the Definitive Map Team, Essex County Council, A2 Seax House, County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1QH, no later than 8th February, 2018 and should state the grounds on which it is made. Please include an email address in your correspondence.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the Order. Any such representation or objections will be taken into account by the Council with the result that they may be made available to the public under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985.

(The Street, Little Totham) (Temporary 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40 mph speed limit in that length of The Street, Little Totham in the District of Maldon from its junction with Sawyers Road to its junction with Witham Road, a distance of approximately 640m. The temporary speed limit is scheduled to commence on 1st February 2018 for 35 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013180069 - Essex and Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The temporary speed limit is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water main renewal works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
