Highways Act 1980 - Section 119 Public Path Orders 2017 Notice of Making of an Order Footpaths in the Parish of Great & Little Leighs In The City Of Chelmsford

The above Orders, made on 4 December 2017, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert Footpaths 33 & 55 in the Parish of Great & Little Leighs as shown on the Order maps contained in these Orders.

The effect of the Order will be to divert a part length of Footpath 33 Great and Little Leighs commencing from a point on the public highway known as Littley Green Road running in a south, south easterly direction across the field for 147 metres to a point in the middle of a field then in an east, north easterly direction to a point south of a pond, to an alternative route 2 metres in width commencing from the aforementioned start point running in a south easterly direction for 269 metres across the field to the aforementioned point south of the pond where it continues unaffected. The effect of the Order will be to divert a part length of Footpath 53 Great and Little Leighs commencing from north of the pond by the side of the highway known as Boreham Road, running in an east, north easterly direction across the field for 291 metres to a point south west of Scarlett's wood before proceeding in a north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 82 metres to a point near the south west corner of Scarlett's Wood, to an alternative route 2 metres in width commencing from the aforementioned start point running in an east, north easterly direction along an existing path for 360 metres to the aforementioned point near the south west corner of Scarlett's Wood where it continues unaffected. Any representation about or objection to an Order may be sent or delivered in writing to Robert Lee and addressed to the Definitive Map Team, Essex County Council, A2 Seax House, County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1QH, no later than 18 January 2018 and should state the grounds on which it is made. Please include an email address in your contact information.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Essex County Council may itself confirm the Orders as an unopposed. If the Orders are sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent together with the Orders.

A copy of the Orders and Order Maps have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Chelmsford City Council Offices and at the Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, Chelmsford during normal working hours. Copies of the Order and Order map are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge.

Highways Act 1980 - Section 119

Public Path Orders 2017 Notice of Confirmation of an Order Footpaths in the Parishes of Boreham, Terling & Hatfield Peverel In The City Of Chelmsford & the District Of Braintree

The above Orders confirmed on 10 November 2017 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert public Footpaths 4 & 18 in the Parish of Boreham in the City of Chelmsford, & Footpath 32 in the parish of Terling & Footpath 34 in the parish of Hatfield Peverel both in the District of Braintree as shown on the Order maps contained in these Orders.

A part length of Footpath 4 Boreham commencing from a point just south of the field edge ditch, running in a generally north, north westerly and then north easterly direction across a field and then at the field boundary in a north westerly direction for 480 metres to the north west corner of a pond before heading on the east side of the field boundary in a north westerly direction for 150 metres where it continues across a field in a northerly direction for 179 metres to the field boundary and at the parish boundary with Terling where it continues as Footpath 30 Terling, to an alternative route 2 metres in width commencing from where it connects to Footpath 5 Boreham and Footpath 32 Terling to run in a north north westerly direction along an existing track, passing around the east then north side of a pond for 366 metres before proceeding in an westerly direction across to the west side of the field boundary then heading in a north westerly direction along the existing track for 292 metres before proceeding in a north easterly direction along the existing track for 121 metres to where it meets the parish boundary with Terling. A part length of Footpath 18 Boreham commencing from a field boundary south of Porters Wood heading in first a north easterly then north, north westerly direction for 183 metres to reach the south western corner of Porters Wood where it continues through the woods in a generally northerly direction for 161 metres where it meets the parish boundary with Terling, and becomes Footpath 32 Terling continuing in a generally northerly direction through Porters Wood for 184 metres to the boundary of the woods where it continues across a field in a north, north westerly direction for 180 metres to the boundary of Toppinghoehall Wood where it continues in a north westerly and then north, north easterly direction through Toppinghoehall Wood to the northern tip of that woods, to an alternative route 2 metres in width commencing from the same above start point and running in a generally northerly direction for 143 metres to the south western corner of Porters Wood where it continues along the headland between a plantation and Porters Wood in an east, north easterly direction for 113 metres entering Porters Wood and heading in a north westerly direction through the woods for 100 metres along an existing ride before continuing through the woods in a north westerly direction for 200 metres before exiting the woods and heading west along the northern perimeter of Porters Wood for 45 metres before heading in a north westerly direction along a field margin for a distance

of 100 metres on the western side of a pond before heading in a north easterly direction along a field margin for 114 metres to reach the south west corner of Toppinghoehall Wood before continuing around the western perimeter of the woods in first a north westerly then north easterly direction for 204 metres to where it continues unaffected.

A part length of Footpath 34 Hatfield Peverel starting north of the railway line and heading in a generally north westerly direction for of 334 metres to where it connects to the highway known as Terling Hall Road north of Berwick Farm, to an alternative route 2 metres in width commencing from the same start point and running in a south westerly direction along the field perimeter, on the north side of the railway line and then a north north westerly direction for 455 metres to where it connects to the highway known as Terling Hall Road to the south of Berwick Farm and opposite where Footpath 44 commences from the highway.

The new paths in Boreham and Terling will come into effect on 8 December 2017 and the new path in Hatfield Peverel will come into effect on 15 December 2017 but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 21 December 2017 make an application to the High Court.

A copy of the Orders and Order Maps have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Braintree District Council Offices, Chelmsford City Council Offices as applicable and at the Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road, Chelmsford during normal working hours. (Sunrise Avenue, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sunrise Avenue, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Patching Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 70m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th January 2018 for 3 nights, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2235785 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Patching Hall Lane, Broomfield Road, The Drive and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 4th January 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, City of Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) (No.7) Order 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close the various lengths of road in the City of Chelmsford as specified in Schedule 1.



2. A temporary 'No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force.



"The Borough Council of Chelmsford (Waiting, Loading and Parking Consolidation) Order 2009" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 14th December 2017, exact dates will be specified on http://roadworks.org/. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/ leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
