Essex County Council is intending to sell part of the former St. Peter's C. of E. College site.
Following the publication of Statutory Notices, St. Peter's C. of E. College closed on 31 August 2011.
In order for the sale of part of the site to proceed, the consent of the Secretary of State for Education is required under Section 77 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1988 to dispose of the playing field element.
A plan of the former St. Peter's C. of E. College site showing the area subject to the proposed disposal is available for inspection in the public library at County Hall, Market Road, Chelmsford, CM1 1QH Monday to Friday 9:00am to 6:30pm, Saturday 9:00am to 5:30pm and Sunday 1:00pm to 4:00pm and at North Melbourne Library, Dickens Place, Copperfield Road, Chelmsford, CM1 4UU Tuesday, Friday and Saturday between 9:00am and 5:00pm. (Vicarage Lane, Great Baddow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Vicarage Lane, Great Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Park View Crescent to its junction with the other end of Park View Crescent, a distance of approximately 155 m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd July 2017 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works (EC30034767906 - UK Power Networks) with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole and service replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Park View Crescent and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 3rd July 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
