Notice of Variation given under sections 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of On-Street Parking Permit Charges in the Braintree District Area The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Consolidation) Order 2008 Schedule 1
Notice is hereby given that the Colchester Borough Council as the lead authority for The North Essex Parking Partnership, itself acting as agents for the highway authority Essex County Council, intends, not less than twenty one days from the date of this notice, to vary the above Order relating to fees and charges under Section 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. It is intended that the changes will take place on 3rd April 2017. The variation will have the effect of changing the tariff of fees for On-Street Parking, Exemptions and Permits - all other fees and charges in the Order will continue at their existing tariffs. Existing and proposed charges are detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

(Brook Street, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2017
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brook Street, Halstead in the Braintree District, from its junction with Fenn Road for a distance of approximately 700m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th June 2017 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works (BC005CC11W000000IBB6VRAU - BT) with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while replace telegraph pole works are undertaken by BT. An alternative route is available via Colne Road, Sudbury Road, Star Lane, Cangle Lane, Colne Engaine Road, Halstead Road, Brook Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 5th June 2017 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Dated 9th March 2017.
