(KENWAY SOUTHEND-ON-SEA) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS & INTRODUCE PROHIBITION OF WAITING, LOADING & UNLOADING] TEMPORARY ORDER 2016 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (hereinafter referred as "the Council") acting as the local traffic authority and in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, intends in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order which will temporarily prohibit any person, except upon the direction of or with the permission of a police constable or civil enforcement officer in uniform, to cause any vehicle, with the exception of a vehicle belonging to the emergency services, the RNLI or Coastguard, or statutory undertakers, the Council or its contractors in connection with the execution of highway works.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (hereinafter referred as "the Council") acting as the local traffic authority and in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, intends in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order which will temporarily prohibit any person, except upon the direction of or with the permission of a police constable or civil enforcement officer in uniform, to cause any vehicle, with the exception of a vehicle belonging to the emergency services, the RNLI or Coastguard, or statutory undertakers, the Council or its contractors in connection with the execution of highway works.

Temporary suspend the waiting restrictions on the east side of Kenway from a point 15m north of its junction with Vale Avenue and a point 160m north of that point On the West side introduce Temporary Waiting, Loading and Unloading in Kenway from a point 15m north of its junction with Vale Avenue and a point 160m north of that point

The temporary prohibitions imposed by the Order will come into effect on 17th November 2016. This Order shall remain in force for up to 18 months or the duration of the works, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be complete by 28th November 2016, The restrictions are required in the interests of road safety for both members of the public and the workforce.
