(VARIOUS ROADS, LEIGH ON SEA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC OR TRAFFIC, SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC, PARKING. WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2022 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice is hereby given that the Southend-on-Sea City Counci has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Various
The Effect of the order will be to prohibit any vehicle from;-

1. Entering or exiting Lord Roberts Avenue at its junction with London Road

2 Entering or exiting Grange Park Drive at its junction with London Road

3 Entering or exiting Recreation Drive at its junction with London Road

4. Entering Cliffsea Grove at its junction with London Road

5 Entering or exiting Pavilion Drive at its junction with London Road

6 Entering or exiting Cricketsfield Grove at its junction with London Road

7 Entering or exiting Chalkwell Park Drive at its junction with London Road

8. Entering or exiting Cheltenham Drive at its junction with London Road

9. Entering or exiting Leigham Court Drive at its junction with London Road

10.Entering or exiting Leighton Avenue at its junction with London Road

11.Entering or exiting Scarborough Drive at its junction with London Road

12. Entering or exiting Oakleigh Park Drive at its junction with London Road

13. Entering or exiting Leigh Hall Road at its junction with London Road

14. Entering or exiting Madeira Avenue at its junction with London Road

15. Entering or exiting Dawlish Drive at its junction with London Road

16. Entering or exiting Blenheim Crescent at its junction with London Road

17. Entering or exiting St Clements Avenue at its junction with London Road

18. Entering or exiting Lymington Avenue at its junction with London Road

19. Entering or exiting Kingswood Chase at its junction with London Road

20. Entering or exiting Southsea Avenue at its junction with London Road

21. Entering or exiting Flemming Avenue at its junction with London Road

22. Entering or exiting Westleigh Avenue at its junction with London Road

23.Entering or exiting Lime Avenue Burnham Road at its junction with London Road

24. Exiting Fairview Gardens at its junction with London Road

25. Entering or exiting Bannard Road at its junction with London Road

26.Entering or exiting Canvey Road at its junction with London Road

27. Entering or exiting Sydney Road at its junction with London Road

28. Entering or exiting Gordon Road at its junction with London Road

29. Entering or exiting Park Road at its junction with London Road

30. Entering or exiting Crescent Road at its junction with London Road

31. Entering or exiting Medway Crescent at its junction with London Road

32. Prohibition of parking, waiting, loading & unloading on London Road from its junction with Dundonald Drive to its junction with Cottesmore Gardens on both sides of London Road

These will be managed in a phased approach

This order will also Suspend one-way traffic on; -

1. Cliffsea Grove from its junction with London Road to Leigh Road.

PLEASE NOTE THESE CLOSURES & PROHIBTION OF PARKING WILL BE COMPLETED IN PHASES AND DATES FOR THESE WILL BE DISPLAYED ON SITE.
The closure is scheduled to commence from 07:00 on the 21st of May 2022 until 19:00 on 16th of September 2022 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The alternative routes will be via local traffic and diversion routes will be displayed on site.
The Order will come into effect on 21st May 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst Fibre Optic installation works takes place.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The prohibitions or restrictions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the TRAFFIC SIGNS REGULATIONS AND GENERAL DIRECTIONS 2016
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction/prohibition mposed by this Notice may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice and removed under the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004
