AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND VIABILITY SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENT (SPD) AMENDMENT ADOPTION STATEMENT
Maldon District Council adopted the amendment to the Affordable Housing and Viability Supplementary Planning Document on the 19 December 2019. This Adoption Statement has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of Regulations 11 and 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012. The Affordable Housing and Viability SPD provides additional detailed guidance relating to the delivery of affordable housing and provision of viability assessments. This SPD supplements policies H1, H2 and H5 in the approved Maldon District Local Development Plan (2017). The Council will use the SPD in the future determination of planning applications. Availability of documents The SPD is available to view on the Council’s website at www.maldon.gov.uk/SPD and at Maldon District Council offices at Princes Road, Maldon CM9 5DL within office hours (Monday-Thursday 8.30 am - 5pm; Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm). Documentation published Alongside the adopted SPD, the following have been published: • Adoption Statement • Consultation Statement - this sets out who the Council consulted in connection with the SPD, how they were consulted, the main issues raised in those consultations and how those issues have been addressed. Legal challenge Any person with sufficient interest in the decision to adopt the amendment to the SPD may make an application to the High Court for permission to apply for judicial review of the decision. Any such application must be made promptly, in any event, no later than three months after the date on which that SPD was adopted (19 December 2019).
