(Barling Road, Great Wakering) (Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in that length of Barling Road, Great Wakering in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Shopland Road for a distance of approximately 475m in a southerly direction (Current speed limit is 60mph). The temporary speed limit is scheduled to commence on 6th September 2019 for 42 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ0071000843917 -Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on

www.roadworks.org

. The temporary speed limit is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. The Order will come into effect on 29th August 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Furtherwick Road, Canvey Island) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Foksville Road, Canvey Island) (Temporary Introduction of no Left Turn) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Furtherwick Road, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Foksville Road to its junction with the roundabout at Long Road, a distance of approximately 75m.



2. To temporarily introduce a no left turn from Foksville Road into Furtherwick Road for the duration of the above closure only.



The restrictions are scheduled to commence on 29th August 2019 for 6 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2278433 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on

www.roadworks.org

. The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while kerb realignment works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Long Road, Maple Way, Link Road, Somnes Avenue, Central Wall Road, Kinghtswick Road and vice versa or Foksville Road, High Street, Furtherwick Road and vice Versa. HGV Diversion route is via Furtherwick Road, Eastern Esplanade, Seaview Road, High Street, Elder Tree Road, Knightswick Road, Furtherwick Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 15th August 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
