Notice of Confirmation of an Order Highways Act 1980 Essex County Council Public Path Extinguishment Order 2019 Footpath 48 Heybridge

On 15 May 2019 Essex County Council confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed as shown on the order maps is to extinguish the entire length of Footpath 48 Heybridge of unknown width shown by a bold continuous line on the order map commencing from a point south of Boulton Cottages running in an east, south easterly, then north, north easterly, then south easterly and finally a generally north easterly direction for a distance of 101 metres to where it connects to Stock Chase. This extinguishment came into effect on 29 May 2019. A copy of the Order and the Order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Maldon District Council Offices, Princes Road, Maldon, Essex CM9 5DL and at Chelmsford Public Library, Market Road CM1 1QH during normal working hours. Copies are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge. If any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 30 May 2019 make an application to the High Court. (West Bowers Road, Woodham Walter & Bassetts Lane, Woodham Walter) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of West Bowers Road, Woodham Walter in the District of Maldon, from both of its junctions with Bassetts Lane for a distance of approximately 700m in an easterly direction.



2. To temporarily close that length of Bassetts Lane, Woodham Walter in the District of Maldon, from both of its junctions with West Bowers Road for a distance of approximately 230m in a northwesterly direction.



The closures are scheduled to commence on 3rd June 2019 for 33 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN01332719885/A - Essex and Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on

www.roadworks.org

. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains renewal works are undertaken by Essex and

Suffolk Water.

An alternative route for West Bowers Road is available via Stivvys Road, Little Baddow Road, Bassetts Lane and vice versa. An alternative route for Bassetts Lane is available via North Hill, Spring Elms Lane and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 23rd May 2019 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
