Braintree Town will head into their final game of the season with promotion still a possibility, after beating Dorchester Town 1-0.
The Iron knew that a victory was essential if they were to keep their hopes of reaching the Blue Square South play-offs alive.
And Alex Browne's own goal, seven minutes into the second half, following a corner, meant that they secured a precious three points in Dorset.
That means that Lee Patterson's side are just one point off the play-off zone.
They now head into their final game of the season against Eastbourne Borough at Cressing Road on Saturday knowing that a win could clinch a play-off place, depending on other results.
Braintree were helped by the fact that promotion rivals Bishop's Stortford lost at Welling last night, ending their hopes of reaching the play-offs.
Meanwhile, former Braintree boss George Borg has quit his role at Ryman League premier division side Boreham Wood.
Borg, who had been caretaker manager at Meadow Park, has left the Hertfordshire club on compassionate grounds.
