Golds galore for karate club
Braintree Shotokan Karate Club claimed seven golds at the Essex Open Championships.
Hannah Constantinou, Jack Parrish, Anna Brinkley, Carl Brinkley, Hannah Baker, Sam Ismay and Joe Johnson all won their individual events at the competition.
There were silver medals for Tazmin Green, Ellie Wright, Drew McConville and Dominic Maleary, who also won a bronze in the Kata.
Hannah West, Hannah Baker, Drew McConville and Akan Eka also took bronzes.
Drew McConville, Jack Parrish and Joe Johnson won silver in the team fighting.
Braintree Shotokan Karate Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday at Notley High School.
