Braintree Town goalkeeper Nathan McDonald may make his international debut after being included in the England C squad that will travel to Russia next month.

The Iron shot-stopper will join his club team-mate Kenny Davis in the 18-man squad that will head to Moscow for England’s International Challenge Trophy (ICT) group A fixture on June 5.

It will be McDonald’s first taste of full international action after his previous involvement was denied when he was selected for England’s game against India last September but the game was postponed.

Davis, meanwhile, will be looking to make his third appearance for manager Paul Fairclough’s England C side, which is made up of players aged under 23 and playing outside the Football League, after featuring in a friendly against Gibraltar in November and the ICT opener against Italy in February.

The match against Russia will be played in the Khimky Arena, the home of Moscow Dynamo on June 5.
