While their Essex Senior League title rivals may be slipping and stumbling, Witham Town are staying right on track.
Town head into tomorrow’s home fixture against Clapton on the back of a 21-game unbeaten record and manager Garry Kimble feels it is that run that is causing others to fall away.
He said: “I think my lads can take the pressure in their stride.
“I can see it in their faces.
“We are playing some really attractive football and when we get the ball down, no-one can touch us, but we know we can mix it with anyone if we need to.
“Other teams may be slipping up, but I think people have to give us credit for the pressure that we are creating for the other sides around us.
“We keep winning and that puts pressure on other teams.
“No-one is doing us any favours, it is us winning week-in week-out that is causing others to stumble.
“We are the ones who are making it harder for them because we are winning.”
Kimble said he has no availability concerns ahead of the visit of Clapton.
