JAMES Bosher was fastest for Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners at the third High Easter ten-kilometre road race as he claimed second place overall.

It was the morning after the club's annual awards dinner and dance, but 17 members still took part in the race, with Bosher claiming a top-two place in 34 minutes 18 seconds, while Naomi Moss won the F45-54 category in a personnel best (PB) time of 45.07.

There were also PBs for Jason Bepey (43.53), Dan Wright (46.27) and Henrietta Butcher (54.16).

Richard Mead completed the course in 38.37, followed by Dan Reynolds (40.39), David Andrews (42.11), Antony Karas (43.57) and Alan Fullerton (44.27).

Hannah McIlvenna finished in 45.20, ahead of Ian Lawson (45.21), Colin Jackson (45.27), David Kelsey (47.50), Charlotte King (51.35), Jackie Adams (59.34) and Roz Wright (1.01.38).

On Monday, five Grange Farm members were among the 295 runners who completed the Witham ten-mile road race.

Martin Atkinson in 1.13.42 was the fastest for the club, ahead of Colin Jackson (1.19.49), Emily Predebon (1.19.50), Antony Karas (1.23.07) and Glenda Jackson (1.59.18).

Grange Farm will be holding an eight-mile trail race from the Stag in Little Easton on June 10 and a 10km road race from Felsted on July 8.
