THE weekend’s cold conditions deterred many competitors at Braintree Golf Club but those who did brave the elements produced some decent scores in the two stableford events.
Jason Pegram, playing off 19, topped the list on Saturday with 37 points, edging out Jon Goodwin (13) on countback.
There was a further countback on 35 points to decide third place with the verdict going to James Bussell (7) over Mark Chamberlain (12).
A countback on 35 points was also required to settle the Sunday Stableford, with James Turley (13) taking top spot over David Chamberlain (20).
Roger George (11) finished third with 31 while another countback for fourth involving three players saw Trevor Green (13) gain the verdict followed by Mark Chamberlain (12) and Chris Voller (15).
The Junior Monthly Medal was also held, with Kyron Moon, playing off ten, signing for 32 points ahead of Callum Chamberlain (12) with 30, while Liam Walsh (22) finished third with 28.
