WITHAM Town manager Adam Flint was left frustrated by "more of the same" as he saw his side fall to a second consecutive defeat at the hands of Soham Town Rangers.

Despite taking a 16th minute lead through a strike from Tom Robinson, Witham were pegged back by second half goals as they lost 2-1 and Flint felt mistakes had been his team's downfall as they had in the 4-1 loss to Grays Athletic in their previous outing.

He said: "We did alright in the first half and went ahead, but we got hit by two mistakes.

"The first was a long throw where we didn't pick up the right men and the second was through a miscommunication in midfield that allowed them to run through on goal.

"It was more of the same from Saturday, where we had them under pressure but we could not take our chances and got hit by mistakes.

"I said to the players that they have to be stronger than that and make sure we snap out of it.

"We had a two-week break before the Grays game but we can't blame that as there are no excuses for how we defended.

"We have to do better as a team than we have in the last two as we could have won both and we have to realise that you can't give teams chances in this league."
