BRAINTREE Boxing Club has celebrated another excellent victory after senior boxer Jason Windsor concluded a fine season with a fantastic performance at a show in Eastbourne.

Windsor was matched against the tall Hamish Miller from Horsham ABC and demonstrated his full array of skills throughout a crowd-pleasing bout.

The Braintree man took the initiative from the opening bell, out-boxing his taller opponent with quick jabs and following them up with some brilliant right hands and left hooks to the body.

He caught the Horsham fighter flush on several occasions, forcing him to continually hold and box increasingly defensively.

The second and third rounds were no different, with Windsor consistently out-landing Miller and hurting him with some solid head shots.

The referee warned Miller for holding during the bout, but his tactics were understandable as he had no answer for Windsor’s superior combination punching, speed of thought and better footwork.

Windsor dominated the fight and opened up towards the end of the third round to gain a convincing and well-deserved unanimous points decision.
