THE new season started well for Gosfield Lake Golf Club with an 8-1 home win against Garon Park in the Jubilee Cup.
In the first singles matchplay game, Simon Thomas came in with a 5&3 victory, followed by Graham Barnard with an even bigger 7&6 success.
Vernon Fullalove came home with a 5&3 win, before Richard Race recorded a 6&5 win in his first Jubilee Cup game.
At the end of the singles, Gosfield were in an unassailable lead with five wins and the three better-ball pairs games all went Gosfield’s way.
The standout result was by Scott Howarth and Hendrik Potgieter with a 6&5 success.
The Final match result was an 8-1 win for Gosfield Lake, who now face a difficult match at Chigwell.
