QUARTETS from the Retreat and Cressing A will contest the Braintree Open Darts League Fours final after seeing success in the semi-finals at Cressing Social Club.
It was the first of the league's winter knockout competitions, with 15 teams taking part and there was a highly competitive night of darts that saw plenty of 100-plus shots and Tony Holland, Steve O'Neil an Phil Holmes all hitting 180s.
Cressings A's team of Bryan Willis, John Abbott, Mick Cain and Tony Bamsey played their way into a finals night appearance with a 2-0 semi-final win over Braintree Football Club's Matt Baker, Lynn Kelly, Hayden Acott and Phil Holmes.
The second semi-final had the Retreat's Vinnie Clarke, Tom Roberts, Ryan Smith and Steve O'Neil up against Cressing A's second entered team of Peter Hayden, Richard Pryke, Sam Hayden and Shane Smith and, with a 2-0 win, the Retreat quartet booked their place at finals night.
