DUNMOW RHODES 5
UCC 0
Mid-Essex League division one
DUNMOW Rhodes made it back-to-back 5-0 Mid-Essex League division one wins with a victory against United Chelmsford Churches.
High intensity from the start saw Dunmow create chances straight away with Adam Burton and Adam Pillinger both going close.
With the pressure building it was Lee Jarvis Brown who open the scoring in the 16th minute as he cleverly chipped the ball over the oncoming keeper.
Dunmow then made it 2-0 in the 28th minute when Jake Buckland fired an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.
The second half did see UCC committing more players forward, but they were denied by some last ditch defending.
In the 71st minute, Dunmow won a corner and Simon Preece rose highest to make it 3-0 with a powerful header and with ten minutes to go, Jake Buckland split the UCC defence and calmly fired past the keeper for his second goal.
With five minutes left, Josh Burgess struck a diagonal ball into box where Taylor Williamson hit a perfect volley past the keeper to secure a 5-0 win.
Rhodes are at home on Saturday against Rayleigh Town (kick-off 2pm).
