WITHAM Bowls Club's outdoor season is coming to an end with some of the club finals being played.

The Devon was won by Derek Hunt with Philip Helps as runner-up, however, Helps bounced back with victory in the Millennium Two Wood final against Kevin McDonald.

The Mary Wood pairs was won by Maureen Stokes and Ray Ager against Margaret Jex and Andy Moore and in the Open Singles, Ager won against Pat Wilson.

The Ron Shayshutt Salver was presented by Sylma Shayshutt in memory of Ron to Stokes, Wilson and Jenny Oatham, who won on the extra end against Derek Hunt, Bob Hookings and Ken Wallis in the Two Wood Triples.

Meanwhile, Witham had a convincing win against Hatfield Peverel, but their game against Stebbing was cancelled.

This coming weekend is the Ladies against the Men, which will be very competitive.
