CRESSING Social Club continued their winning ways in the Braintree Open Darts League with a overall match victory against Eagle B.

A 3-0 win in the pairs was followed by a win in the triples and a 7-0 victory in the singles for Cressing.

Wethersfield Club entertained the Horse and Groom and opened with a 2-1 pairs win followed by a draw in the triples and singles successes for Matt Suckling and Emma Totman.

The visitors came back into contention with wins for Jez Henderson and Dave Clack but with Kevin Williams-Taylor and Paul Bragg winning the final two games, Wethersfield had the singles and match won.

Notley Sports won the pairs match against visiting Legends before a draw in the triples.

The visitors won the first two singles, before Nev Walker and Dave Islip put Notley back in front, but wins for Tony Tatum, Chris Holden and Dan Taylor secured the singles and match win for Legends.

A 2-1 win for Eagle A in the pairs at Swiss Bell and a draw in the triples gave the visitors a slight advantage, but that was soon reduced with the Swiss Bell's Jackie Brighton and Tony Holland taking the first two singles.

Kieran Notley and Paul Little put the Eagle back in front but wins for Russ Farmer, Deb Webb and Jan Pearce gave the singles and match points to the hosts.

Braintree Football Club started strongly with a 3-0 win in the pairs against Wethersfield Raiders, who responded by taking the triples.

Mark Tilley and Phil Holmes increased the Football Club's lead before Bruce Mawdsley pulled a game back for Wethersfield, however, Alan Dewar and Nicky Bewick wrapped up singles and match points for the Football Club.

Richard Pryke hit a 180 and in the ladies' high shot out competition, Emma Totman hit a 78 and Bex Farmer a 64.
