BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT romped to a 6-3 victory in tonight's Alan Turvey Trophy tie at home to Leiston.
Russell Malton gave them a first-minute lead and more first-half goals followed from Tom Richardson, Kieron Baker and Aaron Condon.
Phil Kelly and Makhi McKenzie then netted after the break to complete a comfortable victory at North Road.
Elsewhere in the competition, sponsored by Robert Dyas, HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS and WITHAM TOWN both suffered 3-0 defeats.
Swifts lost at Ryman League premier division side Billericay Town while Witham bowed out at Bowers and Pitsea.
Maldon and Tiptree drew 0-0 at Tilbury.
The tie went straight to a penalty shoot-out and the Jammers came unstuck, losing 8-7.
