GRANGE Farm and Dunmow Runners had five teams among the 66 running in the annual Essex Way Relay race from Epping Station to Harwich Old Lighthouse.
The 82 mile, cross-country route was divided into ten stages, ranging from 5.3 to 11.2 miles and Grange Farm entered two women’s teams, a men’s, a men’s veterans and a mixed.
The club’s men’s team was the sixth of 40 in their category, the veterans were second of four teams and the mixed were third of 13, while the women were third and ninth out of nine.
Claudine Davie and Danielle Robertson were the first women in their stages, while Storme Alexander, Pru Hayhow and Octavia Singleton each took second places.
Matt Webster was the third man in his stage, with James Huertas taking a fourth place and James Bosher and Dan Reynolds each finishing in fifth places.
