JESSE Trayler finished 13th at round six of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship at Thruxton.

The racer from Great Dunmow was on board a BMW under the umbrella of the Jones-Dorling Racing team and placed his bike 12th on the grid in qualifying.

As the lights went green for the race, Trayler had an average start which resulted in him dropping down to 15th by the end of lap one and most of the race was spent hovering between 14th and 15th as he battled riders around him.

By lap eight, though, Trayler started to push hard to make up some ground around the abrasive circuit.

His plan of saving his tyres in the earlier part of the race started to pay off as he moved up to take 13th place at the chequered flag after a gruelling race.

Trayler is now 20th in the championship standings on 12 points and will next be in action in August at Brands Hatch.
