WITHAM Town manager Adam Flint has had a busy time since the end of the Ryman League division north season as he prepares for his first full campaign in charge at the Village Glass Stadium.

Flint became Witham's permanent manager after successfully leading them to division north safety at the end of last year on a caretaker basis and said he has been encouraged by assurances from most of last season's squad that they would be staying at the club.

However, he is also looking to bring in some new faces to increase competition for places and add strength where he feels it is needed.

Flint said: "We have got some new ones coming in and we're just waiting at the moment before we can officially announcement, but I'm also pleased that most of the boys from last year are coming back.

"They have all agreed to stay and that's good as they showed at the end of last year that they deserve their places.

"However, I do want some new players coming in as I want to add strength in a few different areas."

The Witham boss also said he was looking forward to working with the Braintree Town Football Academy, which is now based at the Village Glass Stadium, and the possibility of some of their players featuring for Witham in the Ryman League next season.

Flint has also been busy arranging pre-season fixtures for his team.

The only home game that has been sorted so far is against Essex Senior League side FC Romania on August 6, while away games have been arranged at Earls Colne on July 16, at White Notley on July 23, Hullbridge Sports on July 26 and at Thurlow Nunn League division one new boys Coggeshall Town on July 30.
