Jesse Trayler is sitting in the top six of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship standings after an impressive display at the second round at Brands Hatch.

The MSS Colchester Kawasaki rider, who is from Dunmow, had a far better time than he did at the opening round at Donington Park and was was in the top ten in all sessions over the weekend on his ZX-10R bike.

Trayler had a storming qualifying session, placing the Kawasaki in tenth place with a 47.3 second lap around the Indy circuit and he converted that into the race. He was soon moving up through the field and got as high as fourth before finishing in sixth place at the chequered flag.

Trayler said: “We came away with a sixth place and some more solid consistent points, which has bumped me up the table into sixth in the championship now.

“I am pleased with that, but we need to keep chipping away and keep edging closer to the front.”

Trayler will be in action again at Oulton Park at the start of May.
