Garry Kimble believes his team are in the midst of three of the most important games in Witham Town’s history.

They started a run of back-to-back home fixtures in the Ryman League premier division with a 3-1 win against Harrow Borough at the Village Glass Stadium on Tuesday.

Those three points and the two they earned in draws against Canvey Island and Maidstone United in their previous two games have lifted Witham back out of the relegation zone.

But manager Kimble knows the next two games – home fixtures against Peacehaven and Telscombe on Saturday and against Tonbridge Angels on Tuesday – could be crucial to their survival hopes this year.

Kimble said: “The hard work really begins now.

“I think we have three of the most important games in the club’s history this week.

“I know we’ve taken good points in the games (against Canvey Island and Maidstone), but we have to make sure the draws are wins now.

“It’s a crucial week for us and everyone has to be focused and up for it.

“It is a crucial spell for us and if we don’t get enough out of these three home games then I think it will be a tall order for us to survive this year.

“It’s make or break for us now."
