Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire expects Bernard Mensah to come straight into his squad for tomorrow’s Vanarama Conference Premier game against Alfreton Town after rejoining the Iron on a loan move from Watford.
The 20-year-old striker is back at the Iron until the end of the season and Devonshire is hoping he will enjoy a similarly profitable spell as the one he had with the team last season.
Mensah played nine games for Braintree last year before a tackle in their game against Lincoln City left him with a knee injury that prematurely terminated his season, however, he has come back strongly and has returned for a second spell with the Iron.
Devonshire said: “We’re glad to have got Bernard again because he really adds to the squad and gives us something different.
“He gives us more of a goal threat, he has pace for us to make use of and knows us as well so I’m pleased to have him on board."
