A Kurt Smith goal got Witham Town back into their Ryman League premier division game at Margate but the visitors were unable to overturn a two-goal deficit as they lost 2-1.
Ryan Moss put the hosts ahead in the fifth minute and that lead was doubled in the 33rd minute when Tom Phipp gave them a 2-0 advantage at the break.
Smith halved the deficit ijust before the hour mark as Witham fought back in the second half, but there was no way back for Garry Kimble's team.
