Witham Town's never say die attitude shone through as they renewed their push for the Ryman League division one north title with a dramatic win at the Village Glass Stadium.
Following back-to-back defeats and trailing 1-0 to Aveley with just three of the 90 minutes remaining, things looked bleak for Garry Kimble's side.
However, the spirit that has taken them through some testing times this season was evident once more as they came charging back late on to secure what could be an invaluable three points.
Felix Ogeah-Andrews fired home in the 87th minute to get Witham back on level terms, but better was to follow in time added-on as Danny Lopes found the target to spark scenes of celebration among the home supporters.
And things got even better for Witham as news came through that division one north leaders VCD Athletic, who had beaten Witham 3-1 on Saturday, had lost against Soham Town Rangers to leave Witham two points behind with two games in hand.
