Clacton sisters Bethany and Georgia Ibbotson competed in the Essex Schools’ Championships, in Chelmsford.

It gained her a place in the final.
Not to be outdone, Georgia also booked her place in a final with a good race in the 300m.
Both girls worked extremely hard, with Bethany winning a gold medal and being crowned as county school champion in the 200m. Georgia gained fifth place in her race.
Elsewhere, there was a gold for Frinton’s Jordan Rowe, who secured a convincing victory in the inter-boys’ 1,500m, in 4m 11.98s.
Clacton’s Ami Fosker also reached a final, clocking 2m 35s in the inter-girls’ 800m.
