Tommy Armstrong is ready for the challenge ahead after being confirmed as skipper of Harwich Cricket Club.
The bowler is taking over from Arron Bilton, who is now unable to commit to playing regularly for the Low Road side.
Armstrong, who has been at the club for ten years, is no stranger to captaincy, having skippered the second team for two seasons.
And he is looking forward to filling that role in the first team – starting with tomorrow’s Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship division five trip to Kelvedon and Feering.
“I’ve always enjoyed being captain and I’m looking forward to this opportunity,” said the 21-year-old.
