FC Clacton boss Andy Taylor is desperate for his side to end their campaign on a high – as a thank you to the club’s loyal supporters.

The Seasiders have lost their last ten Ridgeons League premier division matches, culminating in last week’s extraordinary 6-5 defeat at Gorleston.

However, rather than licking their wounds, Taylor is steeling his side for one last push in Saturday’s final-day showdown against Diss.

And he has challenged them to finish with a flourish in front of their own supporters at the Rush Green Bowl.

“I’d like to win it for our supporters,” he said.

“They’ve travelled everywhere and been brilliant this season, really getting behind their team.

“We owe them one and want to finish on a high, as a way of saying thank you."
