CHELMSFORD drew their third match of the season as they continue to hover just above the Shepherd Neame Essex League Premier Division relegation places.
They took 10 points from their encounter against Shenfield, with both teams scoring well.
Shenfield closed on 296/8 before declaring, with Alan Jones (117) top scoring.
Mark Drain, Liam Kearney and Ben Waring took two wickets each.
Chelmsford didn’t hit any centuries but there were half centuries for Rob Hayto (54), Nick Prowting (78) and Gary Chidley (57) as they closed on 285/6 with 56 overs.
Chelmsford 2s were winners on the day, easing home against Upminster by five wickets.
Andy Styan and Tom Halsey took three wickets each as the away side were left of 198/9 at the close.
And Chelmsford reached the target inside 46 overs - Lee Cramner (69 not out) and Tom Iliffe (51 not out) seeing Chelmsford across the finishing line.
