COLCHESTER Golf Club's John Blackmore teamed up with Ben Sayers of Felixstowe GC to win this year's Spring East Anglian Men’s Open Foursomes, at Hunstanton GC.

They were victorious in the final, ahead of Ramsey GC pairing Oliver Wright and Craig Thornburn.

A total of 60 pairs had teed off on the Saturday morning and after two rounds with their aggregate score of 73, Blackmore and Sayers comfortably progressed into the semi-final, where they were also winners.

Josh Coleman won two open tournaments as Colchester GC's juniors used their Easter Break wisely.

He won with a par-equalling 72 at Porter Park G.C. in Hertfordshire, after finishing a shot clear of a field of 51 entrants.

And he was also part of a team of Colchester Juniors that won the team nett prize at Stoke by Nayland’s Junior Open, along with Max Maynard and Charlie Hatley, with Max Day in reserve.

Coleman also won in the individual with scores of 71 on the Gainsborough Course and 73 on the Constable Course.

His aggregate was one over par, for the two rounds.

Maynard was third on both courses with a 74 and 76 and also received the under-18 prize.
